In the AI panel and when you create images or videos, the price is on the button before you press it. Talking is free and stays free: text, voice notes, calls. There is no AI in Secret Chats. Google's models, Nano Banana and Veo, are for ages 18 and over.

Several chats with the same person: one for the project, one for private life, one for planning the trip in October. Each with its own name and its own settings, and as a Secret Chat if you like.
No more searching through one endless thread. You close one room and the other stays where it was.
On Free you get up to four chats per person, from Plus as many as you like.

Lena and Jonas are on a call. Each side records itself, then Hive puts both tracks together into one episode.
On Free it carries a Hive mark, from Plus it does not.
Privacy
Once you have both set it up, you can turn a one-to-one chat into a Secret Chat. End-to-end encrypted, text only, and on the server it sits encrypted. Your key stays on your device, and you can back it up with a recovery code.

We don't read your chats and we don't analyse them. If you report someone, a person reviews the report. When you use AI, the content goes to the provider doing the work.

Set a timer and messages delete themselves. Or let a one-to-one chat wipe itself at a set time, once you both agree.
You can always delete your own messages. In one-to-one chats you ask the other person to delete theirs, and they decide.
Photos, videos, files, PDFs and location. Voice messages with a waveform and up to four times speed. Stored in Western Europe, and when a message goes, we delete its media too.
People find you by email or handle. And you set whether anyone can search for you at all.
Ten colour themes, a separate colour per chat, five text sizes, light and dark. The app looks the way you want.

Why Hive
You are the customer, not the product.
There is no corporation and no investor behind Hive. There are no ads, we sell no data, and Hive trains no AI on your chats. If you need more storage or more AI, you pay a small amount for it. That keeps it clear who the customer is here: you.
At Hive, AI sits between two people: where a message has to get from one language into another, where a voice note is too long to listen to right now, where a long chat needs a summary. You decide for each message whether the AI gets it. There is no AI in Secret Chats.
Hive was built in a few months, by one person using AI as a tool. It is not finished, and it does not pretend to be. What works is further up this page. What is coming is in the roadmap.
